The module on this page is used solely for updating the program inside the BA-1000-A.  This coded is Copyrighted by Skutch Electronics, Inc. and it can only be downloaded for the express purpose of updating the program within a BA-1000-A, and it cannot be disassembled or modified in any way that would violate the Federal Copyright Regulations.

The BA-1000 and BA-1000-A are model protected by their code; this means that if you try to change a unit from one type to the other type, the system will crash and can only be restored to the original model type.

How to tell if your BA-1000-A can be flash updated

The display of a "Flash" updatable unit will show something like:

0-IDLE-v6.21--Th
08/08/02 12:42pm

A non-flashable version will show something like:

0-IDLE-v6.21-*Th
08/08/02 12:42pm

The only difference is the "*" toward the end of the top line; a "*" means not flashable, no "*" means flashable.
